Google Maps Engine Supplemental Terms of Service

Notice Regarding Direct Licenses with Google: The Google Maps Engine API (the “GME API”) may be licensed under terms directly arranged with Google (the ”Direct License”). Please confirm if your employer has a Direct License before accepting the API ToS. Your employer’s Direct License terms may supersede the API ToS and these supplemental terms.

Notice Regarding Google Maps Engine API Quotas: The Google Maps Engine account associated with data queried by the GME API may have been provisioned with a set amount of quota as purchased by your employer. All queries against this data decrement the Google Maps Engine account quota accordingly. In addition there are certain limitations on the number and frequency of queries that can be made.

Notice Regarding Advertisements: API ToS Section 5: Content, subsection: Advertising, if present in the API ToS, is deleted for the term of the API ToS.

Notice Regarding Mass Downloads or Bulk Feeds: The terms of the Google Maps Engine API Terms of Service notwithstanding, you may not use our APIs for the express purpose of enabling mass downloads or bulk feeds of any data that is Geocoded Data. Further, you may only visualize Geocoded Data on a Google map (e.g. geocodes obtained through the Service may not be displayed except with a Google map). “Geocoded Data” means any data (e.g. numerical latitude or longitude coordinates), including hosted data, geocoded with Google content.
