NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information has established a passive acoustic data archive and serves to steward and centralize access to numerous marine monitoring projects. Information on this archive can be found on the project page
A Few of the Archive’s Projects

Analysis in the Cloud
One example of what is possible with a wealth of passive acoustic data at our fingertips is creation of a machine learning model to automatically categorize calls from specific whale species. Google Cloud and their AI for Social Good team worked with NOAA's Pacific Island Fisheries Science Center to develop a model to automatically extract humpback whale song using a decadal time series of passive acoustic data collected around the Hawaiin Islands. You can learn more about this work by reading the team’s publication
What else is possible to do using the passive acoustic monitoring archive?
What can you do with the data?
